Meet the Ministry Staff of Lone Oak First Baptist Church

Pastor
Dr. Dan Summerlin
Dr. Dan Summerlin is the senior pastor of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. A native of
Alabama, he is a graduate of the University of Alabama and earned his Master of Divinity and Doctorate of
Theology degrees from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Before serving at Lone Oak First Baptist
Church, Brother Dan served as pastor in 3 other churches in Alabama and Mississippi. A frequent conference
speaker, Brother Dan has led conferences nationally on topics ranging from preaching, marriage, time management,
and church growth. He has a love for missions and has preached in Central America, South America and Africa.
Active in SBC life, Brother Dan serves on committees at the associational, state and national levels.
Dan and his wife Eileen, have two children.

Associate Pastor / Administrator
Rev. Mike Williams
Mike and Margie Williams met in college at Georgetown, Kentucky where they both
attended Georgetown College. Married in 1978, they now have two grown children: Megan and Jay, a son-in-law,
Alan Redditt, and a granddaughter, Cali.
During and after school at Georgetown College, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary,
and the University of Mississippi, Mike served churches in Kentucky, Texas, and Mississippi. Some of his previous
church responsibilities included recreation ministry, television ministry, educational ministry, youth ministry and
inner city missions.
The Williams family moved to Lone Oak First Baptist Church in 1987 where Mike has served
as Minister of Education / Youth, and now as Associate Pastor / Church Administrator.
Mike's hobbies include: fishing, weight lifting, running, and entertaining granddaughter, Cali!

Minister of Music
Rev. Mark Swadley
Mark is a third generation minister who was raised in Springfield, Missouri. He has
Church Music degrees from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri and Southern Baptist Theological
Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Mark met his wife, Beth, in Louisville and they have two daughters. Beth is
an instructor at Daymar College in Paducah.
Serving at Lone Oak First Baptist Church since 2007, Mark has been in the Music Ministry
for more than 25 years having served at churches in Missouri, Indiana, and Kentucky.
Mark's passion is leading God's people in heart-felt worship. He also feels called to
make God's glory know among the nations and has been on international mission trips to Malawi, Tanzania, Uruguay,
Mexico, Peru, and Korea.
Mark is also a writer for LifeWay Christian Resources and an avid game player.

Minister of Education
Rev. Howard Fuller

I was born and raised in Poplar Bluff, MO, where we were very active as a family in church.
I was saved at the age of 19. My wife Lyndia and I met at Union University. Lyndia has a master's degree in music
and is a retired choral director from Lone Oak High School. We have two daughters; Mandy and Megan. Mandy and
husband, Robert Grisham, have two sons named Adam and Micah. Robert attended seminary at Golden Gate Seminary and
has now started "Neighborhood Church" in the midtown area of Memphis Tn. Megan, our youngest daughter is married to
Stephen Wilson. They are active in Inglewood Baptist Church in Jackson Tn.
I have a Masters in Religious Education from Southwestern Seminary. I enjoyed serving in
youth ministry for 15 years before moving to Education Ministry. Lyndia and I have led several mission trips with
adults and youth from Alaska to Guatemala. For many years we have served in churches with multiple Sunday Schools and
worships services. I have had the privilege of helping relocate three churches and the opportunity to lead in several
State and National Sunday School leadership conferences.
Hobbies are bow hunting for deer, turkey and elk, working out, attending Cardinal baseball
games and family activities. My lead spiritual gifts are exhortation, leadership, and evangelism.

Minister of Activities / Singles
Rev. Bob Martin
Bob is a native Kentuckian, born in Henderson, a Kentucky Colonel, and a Duke of Paducah.
He is a decorated Vietnam Veteran having served with the 1st Cavalry Division as Platoon Leader and Company Commander.
A graduate of Murray State University, ordained at Lone Oak First Baptist, Bob and wife Pat spent 16 years as
missionaries working on university campuses in the United States and around the world, having spoke on campuses and
in churches in 30 different nations.
In 2000, Bob returned to Lone Oak as Minister of Activities and Single Adults and in 2002,
began the Upward Ministries program with Upward Basketball which expanded to Upward Cheerleading, Upward Soccer and
Upward Flag Football. The Upward Ministries at LOFBC is now in the top 10% nationally and one of the largest in
Kentucky, reaching kids and families with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Bob's wife, Pat, teaches nursing at West Kentucky Technical College and they have four
children.

Minster of Global Outreach / 55+
Dr. Jeff Wallace
Global Outreach describes Jeff from his title to his life. Born in Oklahoma, saved at age nine, an Eagle Scout,
having lived in Tennessee, Kentucky, Arizona, Ohio, and Illinois, Jeff has traveled in more than 40 states and
32 countries. Jeff met his wife, Cecilia, while serving as a missionary journeyman in Thailand. Cecilia, born
in Singapore, is the daughter of Ruth & Bill Clark Thomas now retired after 34 years of missionary service with
the IMB.
Jeff and Cecilia have two daughters and two sons. In 2006, Jeff celebrated 25 years in the gospel ministry having
served as a career missionary with 12 years in Spain; pastor and assistant pastor (Paris, France); catalytic
church planter; youth and music minister; and minister in a Hispanic church among many other positions.
Jeff has a Master of Divinity in Pastor/Missions from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville and
a Doctor of Ministry in Missiology from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, Memphis, TN.

Minister of Youth
Rev. Brian Isbell
Brian was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, where he met his wife Melinda. Married for 17
years, Brian and Melinda have three children. Brian received his Master of Divinity from Southwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas and for 15 years has served as youth minister in churches in
Texas, Tennessee, and now Kentucky. Brian is an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan and enjoys playing bass guitar.

Minister of Children
Rev. Stan Reid
A native of West Kentucky, Stan has been involved in children's ministries for
34 years, the last 23 years at Lone Oak FBC as Children's Minister and now also Minister to Preteens. This dual
role keeps him very involved in the current issues facing families today.
Jesus's command; "Let the children come unto me and do not hinder them" drives
Stan to help all children of our community find their place in the kingdom of God and their unique design. Stan
has a passion that children have a God-centered family in which to be nurtured and loved.
In addition to the ministry at church, Stan also serves as Chaplain/firefighter on the Lone
Oak Volunteer Fire Department and is active in the local schools with the Crunch Lunch program that he developed for
elementary and preteen students.
He and wife of 31 years, Eva, have three children, Joshua, David, and Teresa Maria. Beyond
the ministry, Stan enjoys numerous hobbies; writing, wood working, hiking, growing Japanese bonsai,
pocketknife and marble collecting, along with fixing broken things.
