“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:14-17
Jamie Coomer joined the Lone Oak FBC team as the Minister of Discipleship and Family in April 2016. Having grown up in Kentucky, it is like coming home for his family. Before coming to Lone Oak FBC, Jamie has had the privilege of being used by God for over 25 years in the area of family ministry and overseas missions and church planting. Husband to Nicole and father of five beautiful children (Nehemiah, Hannah, Eden, Ezra, and Kanyon), Jamie understands the battle facing families today and the importance of equipping parents and grandparents to disciple the next generation. Jamie has a heart for “helping families accomplish the Great Commission both in parenting and marriage and living out the Great Commandment through biblical manhood and womanhood.” After graduating with a double major in communications and religious studies from Western Kentucky University, Jamie went on to obtain a masters degree in leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. In his spare time, Jamie enjoys hunting, reading, UK Basketball, tennis, and hiking with family and friends.
