Joe Yarbrough

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
Joe Yarbrough, the Minister to Students, understands how critical these years are for young teenagers. “I love leading young teenagers to develop a wonder for who God is; discovery of who He created them to be; and passion for loving and serving others.” Joe Yarbrough, along with his wife, Michelle, moved “up north” in April 2015 to accept the calling to Lone Oak FBC. Born in Gainesville, Florida and spending much of his childhood and teenage years in Florida and southern Georgia, moving to Western Kentucky has been a cold shock for two true southerners. Joe and his wife Michelle have two children, Jaxon and Margaret. Joe graduated from Baptist College of Florida in 2011 with a bachelors in Christian education and then obtained his Masters in Christian Ministry from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary three years later. Currently, along with his ministry at Lone Oak FBC, Joe also belongs to the Volunteer Lone Oak Fire Department. Being a true Florida boy, he can be seen rooting on the Florida Gators, as well as, the Atlanta Braves. In his free time, he also enjoys disc golf, running, music, and spending time with his family, including their miniature silver dapple dachshund, Sadie.
